The Tiger’s Tale: How Our Balls Came to Life

Lift. Study. Practice. Repeat.

My college teammates and I were stuck in the same routine every day. Same workouts. Same drills. Same conversations. Our minds and bodies needed something different.

Then in 2021, during a frigid Central New York winter, we found an old footbag buried in our dorm.

The game itself wasn’t new. Footbag has been around since the 1970s. But the moment we started kicking, we realized something important: this little ball still had the power to bring people together in a way almost nothing else could.

We kicked. We failed. We laughed. We kept playing.

Within days, we were staying up late trying to beat our rally records. Within a week, campus security pounded on our door after downstairs neighbors complained it sounded like “100 buffalo stampeding overhead.” We moved the sessions to the basement, blasted music, and the circle kept growing.

Soon, athletes, artists, friends, and total strangers were all kicking together.

In a world dominated by screens and endless scrolling, footbag felt like the antidote. You had to be present. Moving. Laughing. Creating. Connecting.

That little ball changed the energy of our lives.

As athletes, we quickly realized footbag wasn’t just fun — it made us better.

Our lacrosse team kicked before and after practice every day. Players noticed sharper footwork, better coordination, improved chemistry, and a lighter mindset. Other teams started joining in too.

Then I brought a footbag to work over the summer.

Same thing happened. People who thought they’d never be able to do it got hooked instantly. The challenge pulled them in. The improvement kept them coming back. Everyone finds their own style.

You don’t need experience.

You don’t need rules.

You just need to start kicking.

We believe play is essential. Not childish — essential.

Footbag gets people outside. It creates movement, flow, creativity, confidence, and connection in a way few things can. Five minutes in a sack circle can completely change the mood of a day.

That feeling is what Tiger Balls was built around.

When my younger brother Augie started playing, he noticed something immediately: Most footbags on the market were poorly made. Bad materials. Weak stitching. Bags that flattened too quickly or died after a few sessions.

So in 2023, we launched Tiger Ball with one obsession: Make the best footbags possible.

We’ve spent years designing, testing, refining, and rebuilding our bags to create the perfect feel for every type of play, from beginner circles to advanced stalls and freestyle sessions. Every panel, fill blend, stitch pattern, and fabric choice matters.

Our bags are shaped by thousands of hours of real play with athletes, students, and sack circles around the world. The artwork and designs are inspired by travel, movement, nature, and the people we meet while playing. Every release carries the spirit of the game with it.

We are not here to make throwaway novelty hacky sacks. We are here to push footbag forward.

What started in dorm basements and campus quads has grown into something much bigger.

The 2026 Sack Revolution is here.

People are searching for real experiences again. Real community. Real movement. Real joy outside the algorithm.

Footbag is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to create it.

A Tiger Ball fits in your pocket, but it can completely change the energy of a practice, a party, a beach day, a campus, or a friend group. One kick turns into a circle. A circle turns into a community.

We’re proud to be helping lead the next era of the game with the highest-quality footbags we know how to make.

So whether you’re an athlete, an artist, a beginner, or someone just looking to reconnect with play, welcome to Tiger Balls.
